yeah, it was a blast.  Whole town turned out for it.  Such a small town feel with everyone havin' a good time.  Lots of candy getting thrown out to the kids, a cattle drive down the middle of the main drag  (about 20).  I got some pics that I need to get off the camera.  Good times.

Sounds like you had a great time! Looks like you did a good job securing the parade.

Good thing you were there! I heard that when the Gila Bend locals gather on both sides of the street their teeth touch in the middle! Grin

Ha ha!

Yeah, all walks of life cam eout for theparade....  there were some characters.

I lead the parade on point making sure no one drove onto the parade route.  What made it difficult was that they hold it right on the main drag through town.  I was actually pretty busy kciking people off the road so they didnt run over anyone from the parade.   Freakin tourists and stupid people.    Best quote of the day said over my PA system..

"Yes, those traffic cones you drive around apply to you too."  I actually got some appluase from the folks on the side fo the road.  I was busy!  I'll try ans get the pics up tonight.

Ok, took me long enough but I finally got some pics to show.

I admit, its small, but I bet the whole town came out.  I wish I had gotten pics of the parade toward the back.  I was up at the front most of the time.  They had some neats "floats" and every fire truck from the town had coem out and put on show.  I led and protected the Honor Guard, make sure no lost toursit ran them over.   Almost happened twice.

The gang before we headed out to work the parade.
